Bob asks…
what are some of your favorite paleo recipes?
I’ve been trying paleo recently. I haven’t cut out cheese or milk products. I also haven’t cut out legumes completely. I have cut out grains completely, though. I’m quite the snacker, and used to always grab a few pieces of bread with some vegetable or soup or other nutrition when i was hungry. I used to eat bread with every meal. Now every time i go to the kitchen, i only have vegetable and nuts to snack on, and nuts are the only thing that has a lot of calories in them. And i don’t really feel like cutting up vegetables every time i go to the kitchen. So i’m wondering what are some of your favorite recipes or quick things to grab from the kitchen on a paleo diet? How can i get my calories?

admin answers:
A great thing is that the Paleo diet recipes you prepare can be as simple or as sophisticated as you want. You must try to avoid gluten, and then get some protein and veggies, no soda at all, put a portion to control, and dessert.
I like Soft ‘n juicy chickenwith a lots of chicken breasts, salt and herbs (any combination of paprika, curry, ginger, kurkuma, mustardseeds and a something to cook in.

I have been on the paleo lifestyle since the beginning of the year. I love it and with being a college student I needed something that would keep me on the go while still being easy and cheap. Paleo holds it all in every aspect.

I have tried some but my favorites are paleo pancakes, and paleo cookies, I don’t cook a lot so these were really easy and delicious!

Anyone here use Paleo Diet?
I’ve heard its VERY healthy and you definitely see improvements after a few weeks of being on this diet. Now my problem is, I don’t exactly know how to start this diet. Not a single website I have visited gives you instructions on what exactly to eat in this diet. Like, What recipes, etc? What exactly should I be eating with this diet? Please don’t write “Meats, eggs, vegatables,” Thats not an answer. I’m looking for specifics. What EXACTLY can I eat for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner? I need guidelines. Please help.

I’ve been trying it out off and on, but I find it a bit hard to stick to, because I have family members who are a bit picky. My friend has been doing this for about 4 months and she LOVES it, she and her boyfriend have both lost weight. If you want to see what they eat for every single meal, follow her here fitfreek.tumblr.com this is legit. I also have a tumblr girlgettinghealthy.tumblr.com
You will basically learn how to cook more things than you are used to. Eggs and fruit for breakfast, or there are recipes out there for paleo pancakes that use almond or coconut flour. Most people who do strict paleo cut out all dairy, but some allow it (I do) so it’s more ‘primal’ than paleo i guess.
For lunch you’re going to eat a protein and veggies, a salad. You can eat any vegetable or fruit you want. And any kind of meat you want. The main thing to start you off is to avoid anything processed: fast food, chips, cookies, sugary foods, lunch meats and just stick to all natural. You can switch to almond milk, which is amazing by the way! Stay away from white potatoes, and any rice or pasta as much as you can.
Nuts are also fine for a snack. The options are endless if you are willing to go that extra mile to make the effort. You WILL lose weight and be healthy, and get the maximum from your workouts!!
Like I said, if you have the time and the curiosity, you can join tumblr and see what we eat and do, day by day. Good luck!
Another thing is when I don’t feel like cooking a huge meal, I’ll eat fruit and a Larabar, those are great for when you are in a pinch because they’re all natural, fruit and nuts only!
